Hurricane Deck Boats Back on the Showroom Floor

As they enter their second year as the new owners of Smithville Marine, Kent and Stacie Hinz are expanding the boat line-up to include a broader selection of recreational boats. According to Kent, “Smithville Marine was founded on supporting the tournament and pleasure angler with high-performance bass and fishing boats, and we’ll always support that legacy. However, Smithville Marine has a unique role in serving the boating community in northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. We want to be a destination dealer for pleasure and recreational boaters as well as anglers.”

For many years Smithville Marine carried the Godfrey line of pontoons, deck boats, and runabouts. Indeed, Smithville Marine built a loyal customer base for Godfrey pontoons — Sweetwater, Aqua Patio, and San Pan models. “We’re well known as for carrying a broad line of pontoons, but Smithville Marine has had a limited inventory of Godfrey’s Hurricane Deck Boat or Rinker Runabout. Boaters will find a broader selection on our showroom this year,” says Stacie Hinz.

Godfrey, one of the early designers and manufacturers of pontoons and deck boats remains one of the industry’s most respected names in boat building. Its reputation in the pleasure boating market complements Ranger, Lund, and Lowe. Stacie and Kent agree, expanding the line of Godfrey boats at Smithville Marine will serve the boating community well.
