Smithville Lake Fishing Report

Water Temp – 85
Current Lake Level – 864.25
Normal Lake Level - 864.20
Water Condition – clear
Spillway outflow: 8 cfps
CRAPPIE –poor try using minnows 10 to 12 feet down in 20 feet of water in the main-lake brush piles.
LARGEMOUTH BASS – poor a few are being caught on topwater lures early and late on the edge of the flooded vegetation, Brush Hogs, 10-inch plastic worms later in the timber.
CATFISH – fair on trotlines using shrimp.
WALLEYE –poor off the points with rattle traps.
WHITE BASS –fair look for the fish surfacing in the early morning and late evening using top water lures then during the day use crankbaits off the points.
Smithville Lake Spillway- slow for all species
Missouri River-excellent using goldfish and chubs for catfish
